I think Gary is a great and interesting guy. He loves the sport and is an advocate for diabetes (as he is diabetic.) He also started a post collegiate team called the Race Club in Florida Keys.
Thanks so much for your comments! We are friends with Mike Bottom, Gary’s coach. Some of the guys on the Race Club are giving group lessons in Walnut Creek right now and doing a GREAT job!
Gary has been in the Bay Area one or two times in the past couple years doing clinics with area swimmers. They loved working with him!
